The Regatta ESCP Europe by Torino Campus is a yearly event organized by a group of international students, powered and supported by Eventures.
ESCP Europe is both a high-level school of management with international scope and a large-scale European institution. It was founded in Paris in 1819 and, since then, has educated generations of leaders, contributing to the fine reputation it enjoys today. With five campuses in Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid and Turin, ESCP Europe has become the School of Management for Europe.
The first edition of the Regatta, four years ago, was conceived as a way to unite the stakeholders of our school: students, alumni, and companies. The event combined the passion for sailing and competition together with a desire to strengthen the bonds between the School's five campuses. Since then, the project has grown in both success and size, reaching 44 sailboats as well as more than 450 participants in 2011.
To us, this is a unique opportunity to exploit the potential of an international school such as ESCP Europe, to foster networking and education, having fun all the while. The qualities required to be successful in business are in fact similar to the ones required to be a good member of a sailing team: passion, proactive team-working and problem solving skills are priceless attributes, both on a sailing boat and in the middle of an executive meeting.
That is why it is important for us to bring this event to the next level every year.
